Learning Events

Washington County School District offers many events and expericences to help your student enrich their learning.  Not all schools participate in every event; contact your school for information about events offered there and contacts for those events.  You may contact the district event coordinators listed on the fliers below for more information as well.  

Storytelling Festival

Each year students in grades 3-5 sharpen their skills and perform their favorite stories in front of a live audience. Click for more information.

Geography Challenge

Students in grades 4-6 compete in this challenging "Geo Bee."  Click for more information.

Intermediate Science Fair

Sixth grade students are invited to investigate phenomena and report their findings at the intermediate science fair.  Click for more information.

Science Olympiad

Teamwork is a required skill in most scientific careers today, and Science Olympiad encourages group learning by designing events that forge alliances.  Students in grades 8-12 are invited to participate on a team.  Click for more information.

History Fair

The history fair creates an understanding and appreciation of history while developing necessary 21st-century skills.  Students in grades 4-12 are encouraged to participate.  Click for information.

Elementary Science Fair
